Addicted to......

Yes, I have a new addiction recently.

Nope, it's not the internet. (it would be had I stayed in Vista for the study break :x)

It's not a TV programme, although I download Survivor religiously, and like to watch 'Lost' and 'Heroes' and 'American Idol' and 'The Apprentice' and 'The Amazing Race'.

It's ....coffee.

Yes, now with the big exams approaching so near (only barely more than 2 weeks left!) I need my daily dose of coffee to boost me up for revision. I drink it every day, every night. And now, I can't seem to function without coffee. Oh dear!
A cup of coffee a day keeps Ailing awake :)

Well...there's nothing much to blog about lately.

I'm currently back in Kuching preparing for the upcoming End of Semester 3 exams, which will be held right after the Chinese New Year. (Right after? Why?! There goes my CNY this year!)

Am taking a break from the 'Heroes' weekend marathon - omg, I should be studying instead!

This is not the first time I'm watching the first season of 'Heroes' but I just felt like watching again. I still like Claire Bennett, Mr. Bennett, Peter Petrelli, Nikki Sanders, Micah Sanders, Hiro Nakumakara, his friend Ando...Nathan Petrelli, Matt Parkman, ok, ok, I like everybody...hah. Except Sylar, of course.

Can't wait for the next season....which will premiere on Star World next Tuesday I believe.

And I can't wait for 'Lost' season 4 which will premiere on January 31st. Such a long hiatus!

Babybloom in Hollywood

Nicole Kidman
Halle Berry
Christina Aguilera
Jessica Alba

If you have been keeping up with the latest celebrity news (which I have- thanks to the E! channel on Astro) you would have noticed the latest trend in Hollywood......getting pregnant.

Yes, it's amazing.....how many of these famous celebrities are actually expecting a baby right now.....
Jessica Alba, Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lynn Spears (who's only 16), just to name a few......(I'm sure there are some more expectant celebrity mothers around....)

And on other news.....Nicole Ritchie has just given birth to a baby girl. Christina Aguilera also just had a baby.

Congrats to all these celebrities!!

Lost.....and Found....

In episode 5 of seaon 2 of 'Lost'- Sun (Yunjin Kim), was sitting on the beach with Claire (Emilie de Ravin) , wondering how was her husband Jin (Daniel Dae Kim ) doing when she suddenly realized that one of her most prized possessions was missing......her wedding ring! Thus began the frantic search for the ring....out at the sea, on the beach, which even lead her to Vincent, the camp dog who might have swallowed the ring.... Anyways, towards the end of the episode.....Kate (Evangeline Lilly) spotted the ring lying on the sand. Needless to say, Sun cried in huge relief. The title of the episode was '......and Found'. (Lost and Found).

Anyways....I'm not here to talk about 'Lost' (although I'm tempted to do so :p ) I'm here to tell you a story......

One day, there was this girl, a 2nd year medical student in IMU. She was having lab sessions this morning, as part of her rotation activities. Anyways, after it was over.....she decided to 'ta pao' some lunch and go back to eat and then study. After she had a nice relaxing lunch in front of her laptop, and decided that she really had to buck up and start studying.....she discovered that her pencil case and blue file was not there with her. She searched frantically, it was not in her school bag, not on her bed, not on the study table, not on the dining table nowhere to be found.
She she thought 'Alamak, I have left my pencil box and file at uni!'

So she dressed up, walked all the way back to uni to search for her stuff. She met several sem 5 seniors, whom she knows that she will dearly miss. Two of them, Sarah N. and L. Ee Leen volunteered to accompany her on her search. Well, they went to the Medical Musuem to get the keys for the Medical Musuem Lecture Teatre, which was already locked. Her stuff wasn't there! Library- not there, canteen not there.

The girl was getting frustrated as she knew that yet another whole afternoon is slipping away.
So the two lovely sisters told the girl to sit down on a bench and prayed for her- that God would give her a peace of mind, whether she manages to recover her items or not.
Then on her way back, she met one of her lovely O.Os, Caryn K. She initially decided not to tell Caryn anything, as it seems that everytime she was searching for something she misplaced, she would bump into Caryn.

Anyways, back home, the girl just wanted to plop down and get some rest. She pulled away her thick blanket, and lo and behold.....all the stuff that she was looking for was there, lying on her bed.

Yet another one of her 'searches' has come to an end.

Well, you know who the girl is ;)

Refreshed

It's a few days into the the new year.

I feel refreshed, recharged and rejuvenated.

Now is the time to discard the old, and welcome the new.
Time to make positive changes.

Time to build good habits and get rid of bad ones.
Time to build new relationships, strengthen old ones and rekindle broken ones.

Time to be a brand new person.

Yeah!

p.s. I can't seem to upload my photos onto photobucket, so pics will have to wait for the moment

p.p.s Got my Haemato/GI results through email on Friday. It was just as I expected, the bare minimum that I targetted. I'm not disappointed, but not that happy as well with my results. I just told myself before the results were released that I just don't wanna get a grade in the C range. And well, i didn't.
Maybe next time I should aim higher.....since I always seem to achieve the exact grade that I aim for, but never higher than that.

My New Year Resolutions

Not that I would keep them anyways, but here goes......

1. Learn to be more proactive, and not to leave things until the last minute. I have this very bad habit of procastinating and leaving things until the last minute. AIR topics ( the CVS one, I submitted a few hours before the deadline). PBLs, I do the night before. Getting ready to go out- I prepare my purse right before leaving! So yeah. Also I have the bad habit of taking things for granted. So...that has to change as well.

2. Learn to drive! ( I can drive, but I'm not that comfortable with driving). I have to let go of my fears of driving, or else I will never learn.

3. Learn to be more cheerful. I hear this ALL the time, especially from my housemates- 'Ailing are you ok?' 'You looked stressed again'. I don't know, maybe it's just my default expression, or maybe I do indeed worry and stress myself out all the time. Whatever it is, everyone loves a cheerful person.

4. Get myself a (the remaining of the sentence has been edited out, as it's too personal to share online)

That's all I can think of for now.....will add in more later!
